Police say they're closing in on suspects in the lopsided attack on a pair of south city good Samaritans.
"Investigators have identified one individual and are working some strong leads relative to the other potential suspect(s)," a police spokeswoman tells the Riverfront Times in an email.
No arrests had been made as of this afternoon.
The victims — a 34-year-old woman and her 37-year-old boyfriend — were beaten by as many as fifteen people on Sunday in the Gravois Park neighborhood. The woman told police she'd seen the crowd harassing a teenage neighbor and shouted at them to leave her alone.
As a result of the good deed, the woman and her boyfriend were attacked.…
