Six goons prowling for potential robbery victims in the Central West End got their asses handed to them early this morning — and not by a good guy with a gun, either. According to information released by Washington University School of Medicine Protective Services, a lone pedestrian fought off a half-dozen assailants with nothing but his umbrella.Around 3:15 a.m., the anonymous ass-kicking Mary Poppins was walking south along Euclid Avenue near the intersection with McKinley Avenue, about a block away from the Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes Jewish Hospital.
The first would-be robber, who was armed with a revolver, got the drop on our anonymous hero just south of the intersection.
