Marie-Aimée Abizera followed a long road to St. Louis. Recently hired as executive director of the Missouri Immigration and Refugees Advocates, she grew up in Nashville and Nairobi after fleeing as a twelve-year-old from the sudden slaughter of roughly a million people in her home country of Rwanda.
