University City is hosting a block party — and if you attend, you could get a shot at dunking the man behind the Loop, Joe Edwards, into a large tank of water. Taking advantage of the construction-related closure that has shut down Delmar at Kingsland, the Thirsty Thursday Block Party will take place today, June 23 and next Thursday, June 30. Both parties will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The June 23 date will offer a dunking tank where several Loop celebrities will brave the waters, including Joe Edwards, Kelly Pollock (COCA), Chris Poehler (Loop Trolley Company), Michael Alter (Fitz Root Beer) and Tom Schmidt (Salt + Smoke).…
