A man was beaten with a shovel and a wrench when a trio of acquaintances turned on him, authorities say.The 54-year-old told police he was using drugs on Monday in north city with 58-year-old man, along with a younger guy in his 20s and woman in her early 30s. They four of them began arguing about money, and the afternoon hangout turned into a three-on-one beating, according to police.
The three suspects, armed with hand tools, smashed the 54-year-old in the face, wounding him badly enough that he had to be taken to a hospital.…
