Hey look, Stan, there are people who actually want to put a pro sports team in St. Louis.
According to a recent announcement by Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber, the league will grow to 28 teams in the future. And while Garber mentioned a number of cities as possible locations, Sports Illustrated reports that several of the league's coaches and executives are feeling bullish about St. Louis.
Prior to the MLS SuperDraft in Baltimore, Sports Illustrated reporter Grant Wahl asked several of them which city they'd like to see get an MLS team. And after being told by Rams owner Stan Kroenke that our city is lagging, answers such as the one New York Red Bulls Head Coach Jesse Marsch gave felt particularly refreshing.
